We made it to another Friday and it’s time to celebrate.
Below, you’ll find books, including two freebies, a new segment called 5 Random Things, and the pet of the week. We truly hope these tidbits help everyone slide into weekend mode.

Pining and loving. Which one carries the highest cost? And what price is worth paying?
The quiet, tough Aya Lawson has been forced to leave her career as a professional boxer behind and now scrambles for a purpose.
Gwen Davies is a chatty barista, and artist in her free time, who lives with clinical depression.
They both have battles to fight but they also have something else in common – pining over the woman of their dreams.

We’re introducing a new Friday Feels feature, called 5 Random Things. We want to help readers to get to know authors, all the while having a bit of fun.
To kick it off, the wonderful Jae has shared five random facts about herself.
- I have aphantasia, which means I can’t form mental images (plus I also can’t recreate sound, taste, smell, etc., in my mind).
- I’m a fountain pen nerd and always have at least 10 fountain pens inked up, each one with a different ink.
- I have a twin sister, who is 7 minutes older, and she never lets me forget it.
- My roommate says I sing like a nightingale…a nightingale with a really bad case of laryngitis.
- Jae is my pen name, but it’s also my legal name since the German law allows authors & artists to add their pen/stage names to their IDs.
Right now, Jae’s book Paper Love is on sale for 99 cents. Click on the image for the Amazon universal link. The sale ends May 14th.

Meet George
This is George of the Jungle. He decided to play hide and seek in a grocery bag. I went to pick it up to put in recycling and his head popped out. Submitted by Mag, a reader.
That’s all for this week.
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!
