Charleston

by B.K. Wiggins

Natalie Pope had just inherited her grandmother’s historical home in Charleston. She had spent her childhood summers there and always enjoyed going back to visit. But, after Mimi’s funeral, Natalie and her family found that someone else had claimed the property and was willing to put up a fight.

Mimi’s estate attorney, Haley was going to help them fight. She had a friend on the Charleston Police Department and together with Chip, they were going to get to the bottom of this.

Who was Grant Rogers? How did Mimi know him? Why would he be given her home? How would they stop him?

Filled with twists, turns, and two women falling in love; Charleston is a sweet lesbian romance story with low angst and a happily ever after.

Stranger on the Shore

by Claire Highton-Stevenson

Available in Kindle Unlimited

Quinn Harper is living the life she always wanted. She’s well-liked and respected by everyone and has been a success in life with awards to prove it. She spends her free time running along the shore, returning to her quiet home on the beach.

It was almost the perfect life, but there was one thing missing: Love.

And when she notices the stranger sitting on the shore, she has no idea just how much that moment will impact the rest of her life.

Natasha is a mystery. A woman broken and on the verge of doing something drastic, Quinn is moved to help. Befriending and earning her trust, they begin to build a relationship and a story that could have been written for the TV show Quinn works on.

Stranger on the Shore is a love story from start to end, but with a rollercoaster of a middle as Quinn navigates life with and without Natasha.

Because love, is never simple, is it?

Trigger Warning: This book tackles domestic violence and the impact of it.

We’re introducing a new Friday Feels feature, called 5 Random Things. We want to help readers to get to know authors, all the while having a bit of fun.

Here are five random facts about Monica McCallan.

  • I’m a righty, but I play pool, throw a frisbee, and snap my fingers left-handed.
  • Before I realized I was a lesbian, I’d read thousands of m/f romance novels. I just love love!
  • My dog Chips was given her name because of the tv show Trailer Park Boys.
  • My favorite types of non-fiction books to read are on behavioral economics. I always struggle with “absolute” ideas, and realizing the confusing, often counterintuitive things people do when making decisions helped things click for me much better.
  • I moved to California because I met people at a music festival (Bonnaroo), and they said I could come stay with them for a couple of weeks while I was traveling. I absolutely fell in love with the queer culture there and didn’t move to Brooklyn like originally planned. It really showed me how much one person could change someone’s life!
