Getting Away for a Break

Coping with the news lately has been beyond draining. One of my favorite ways to spend a day off to unwind is to hop in my car and go exploring, which is how last Saturday I found myself at The Mount, a Gilded Age mansion built by Edith Wharton in the Berkshires. Miranda MacLeod joined me for the day trip.

I happened to have the paperbacks of the Pride Collection in the car, so I snapped a photo of the books on the grounds of The Mount.

I didn’t just snap photos of the books. The house and grounds are absolutely lovely. Here are some photos.

Here’s a photo of Miranda and me (please ignore my inability to look in the right direction):

If you haven’t checked out the Pride Collection yet, click here.

Have a lovely day!

Thanks for all of the pics you post in newsletters. I am one of those older folks who am totally home bound. Seeing the adventures other women are taking makes me feel a part of the whole. I love the books you share, write and all of the information. Above all of it at this point in my life I like the pics. The tutu was priceless.

    Love the tutu pic!
Can’t choose just one Miranda and TB collaboration. Love you both together or separately. Anyway you come. Thanks for the loads of enjoyable reading.

I just want to agree with Sandy/jt. I’m older, tho not totally homebound, I’m on a very limited budget and want to thank all the authors for their hard work, especially those who use Kindle Unlimited. I read constantly and could not afford to read even a fraction of what i do were it not for KU. Thank You.

You certainly are a breath of fresh air, which so many of us need after what has occurred in our country! I live in the land of hate in Florida where Republicans are running our country into the ground with out any power to stop them! I am a small older voice but it sings loudly and proudly! I love the Berkshires and have visited the Wharton Home several times, strolled the grounds and was able to center my self in its beauty. I am proud that I have already bought and read all of the pride series, and enjoyed them.
