THE DEADLINE TO JOIN THE SALE HAS PASSED
The I Heart Lesfic mega sale is scheduled to run March 15th through March 19th (five days).
If you’ve participated in one before, please read this entire page since some aspects about the process have changed, including the email address to submit your information.
We’re looking to recruit tons of authors. The mega sales are quite popular, and the last one in May broke all IHL records for site visits and clicks.
All promotion for IHL mega sales will be handled via social media, aside from a small team we’ve assembled to get the word out via their newsletters.
The sale will involve numerous authors, and we don’t want everyone to email subscribers about the mega sale, flooding inboxes and annoying readers.
In the past, there has been some confusion about this request. IHL is not banning you from notifying your subscribers about your own book(s) on discount. We’re only asking that you don’t mention the mega sale in your author newsletters.
Instead, we’re asking authors to post at least one message about the sale on their personal Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, blog, or whatever social media you prefer. Heck, even telling your friends will help. The I Heart Lesfic team will handle the rest.
There will be four price points: Free, $0.99, $1.99, and $2.99.
This is a lesfic sale, meaning all sub genres are welcome as long as the book is classified as lesbian fiction.
There is a limit to how many books each author can submit: no more than 3 per author or pen name. To clarify, if you publish under Jane Doe and Jane Smith, you can submit 3 titles for Jane Doe and 3 titles for Jane Smith. I know some authors have collaborated with fellow lesfic authors. I will count these separately. Again, if Jane Doe and Jane Smith cowrote novels, Jane Doe can submit 3 titles, Jane Smith can submit 3 titles, and writing duo Doe and Smith can submit 3 titles.
If you’re with a publisher and aren’t in control of your pricing or if you can’t lower the price of one of your books right now, you can still get involved if you have a book or story that’s either permafree or one of the price points listed above AND the item is available on Amazon. This means freebies on your website, BookFunnel, Instafreebie, etc. will not be included.

Please include all of the information specified below in the body of an email to tbm@iheartlesfic.com with the subject line, “Spring Mega Lesfic Sale.”
Do not hit reply to this email to supply all the details.
The reasoning behind this is it’s easier for us to keep track of individual emails with the correct subject line. The last sale involved over 100 authors, and it’s a challenge to track down all entries that aren’t submitted correctly.
This is the info IHL needs:
- Title
- Author’s name
- Sale price (Remember there are four price points: Free, $0.99, $1.99, and $2.99.)
- Original price
- Subgenre (Romance, Erotica, Paranormal Romance, Romantic Suspense, etc.)
- Cover
- Short blurb: Only 4-5 sentences. We will kick the email back to you if you go over the limit or include run-on sentences.
- Twitter handle (No worries if you aren’t on Twitter.)
- Is the book in Kindle Unlimited? (It doesn’t have to be in KU to be included in the sale.)
Also, please don’t send an email simply saying you want to include the same book from a previous sale. You are more than welcome to include a book that was involved in a prior I Heart Lesfic sale, but we need everyone to provide all the details for every book for this round. This may be frustrating for you, but we deal with hundreds of authors every month, and our memories aren’t what they used to be.
Unfortunately, the mega sale cannot include Kindle Countdown Deals. They are only valid in the US and UK, and from experience, readers outside the US and UK will feel left out, which could potentially result in negative comments, especially on social media. Negativity spreads quickly, and it may impact all the authors involved in the sale.
The deadline for supplying the details is Tuesday, March 2nd. The sooner you can get us the details, the better.
